I am stationed at TAI 0 and at present I am acting "Munshi”. At about 14.45 hours on 12.9.41 I was sitting under the tree in front of the station when I heard the 0.1.0. mil
from his verandah. I went along towards the Charge Roors and I met the 0.1.0. who came rumning down the stairs. He pointed out to me a Motor Boat which he said was a Japanese. The Hotor boat was towarda PO THE TAM and in my opinion was about a mile distant et i
The 0.1.0. told me to telephone up PO THE TAM immediately and tell the Bgt.1/e to post a look out and keep Tai © informed about
0 to the movements of the boat. I did so. When the 0.1.0. went out in the Palice Dont I saw the Japanese boat turning back. I then ræer it goinɛ south first and then turning north. At this time the Pelles boat was about two miles inside it. The Police boat returned to the Pier and the 0.1.C. went to the telephone. While he was telephanẳng the Japanese went by the rock south west of the Station. noticed a two masted junk between YKK 0 and the Reak. I think she junk was going in a northerly direction. The motor boat went fromá and went în front of the junk. A rope was passed between them and
in the junk was taken in tow. I then called the 0.1.0. I am quite sure that when the motor boat took the junk in tow both boats were on the TAI O side of a line drawn between the rock and YEK O Point. Ahoy then alled around outaide the rock and made aff towards lisoso.
